Homework
Homework is meant to build confidence, organizational skills, academics, and responsibility. Please encourage your child to find a comfy and quiet space to complete assignments each night. They will be well-prepared for their academic future if the routine for homework completion is set at the start of the year and consistently monitored throughout. Please Look-over your child's work first for what can be praised and next for hints about what can be improved. Please have your child put their name on every page and staple their packets together. With 20+ students, it is easy for a sheet or two to get lost.

Homework Schedule
The homework packets come home every Monday and are due Friday. Reading minutes are written on the back of the Monday Message, and also due each Friday.
There are also projects assigned throughout the year in science, language arts, reading, and math.
Spelling practice of sight words, math facts practice, and reading are part of the nightly routine.
Children earn "Fun Friday" when their homework packet and reading log are turned in, and they have had acceptable behavior that week.
